What is Psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy is a professional talking therapy that helps you gain deeper understanding of your thoughts, emotions and behavioural patterns. It gives you dedicated time and space to reflect, express yourself openly, and gain insight into patterns in your life—because if you can’t see or understand something, you can’t change it. The goal is to develop healthier ways of thinking and responding, improving your mental well-being and overall quality of life.
It is believed that bi-lateral stimulation by-passes the area of the brain that has become stuck due to the trauma, thereby preventing the left side of the brain from self-soothing the right side of the brain.
Working with a trained therapist can help you:
• Improve relationships
• Build resilience and confidence
• Develop healthier coping strategies
• Create sustainable emotional change
• Anxiety and stress
• Low mood and depression
• Life transitions and Grief
• Confidence and self-esteem
• Workplace stress and burnout
